There hasn't been any reviews or articles in magazines or newspaper yet. It seems that all the reporters have been on holiday. But things start to happen, eventually. The first newspaper article is on its way, I was interviewed by Eskilstuna-Kuriren's music reporter yesterday. The article should be printed in a few days.
I shall be selling my records on the Autumn market in Hälleforsnäs on Saturday, September 16th. You can come by and buy CDs directly from me or just say hello, if you wish. I shall also make pretty t-shirts that you can buy at the market. My friend Jonas Grave shall also be there, he is starting a small company also. He plans to show his disco equipment and wants to get DJ gigs.

My computer suffered from a hard disk failure. Most of my documents vanished during the crash. Eventually I managed to recover some of the files and I don't think any really important files were gone. Working with my computer, recovering files and re-installing programs just takes all my time for the moment.
Before
the computer crash, I joined the MySpace network, found out that it could be a nice place trying to expose your music. There's four free mp3 files you can listen to on both of the pages. I put one more picture on the Gallery page...
I've joined a banner exhange program, trying to get more exposure for this site and for my solo album. The banners from other sites are displayed on my other site, the All Suzuki Models Ever Built website so you won't be bothered by the banners on this site.
This is the banner I made that will hopefully make millions of people to come on this site. What do you think?
I also have joined the CD Baby program for distribution in the USA, both physical CDs and, digital downloads. We'll see where that leads. It will take at least a few days before you can buy my solo album in the USA from CD Baby (faster and cheaper delivery for you living in America) or directly from your record store, eventually.

Now it's official! The company Hälleforsnäs Records starts its business today. I hope I can make it work and grow in a healthy way.
By the way, the t-shirts are not printed yet. The guy who prints them talked something about summer vacation... I should have contacted him much earlier. I will let you know when the shirts will be available. For now, I don't know.

I was a bit optimistic about the release date. I was told by by the CD plat that the printing of the discs will be done on Wednesday the 21th.
I have started to update The Soul Preachers home page. A whole new version of the old site will soon be found here on Hälleforsnäs Records server with a new design and current information. It will take me a while to update and redesign the site, I need at least a few days.

I was in Stockholm today, visited the printing house personally to check out the test prints of the CD covers. After some minor color adjustments I was very happy with the prints and approved the lot. I was told that the folders and the trays for the albums will be printed tomorrow afternoon, sooner than I expected. I don't know if the CD's are going to be printed this week, but the changes are quite good that both of the albums are out before the weekend.
As soon I know more, I will tell you all about it on this page.

After I took a recent picture of myself (you are supposed to do everything by yourself on a solo album, aren't you?) and put it in the Spoiled By Success booklet I considered both CD covers finished. The cover material has been sent to print now; I delivered the CD masters personally to the CD plant already last week. Now we're waiting... One or two weeks, I've been told.
I put a one of the photos I took of myself to the Gallery page. Check it out if you wish. I also added another picture of The Soul Preachers on that page.

The CD's are still not out, have patience. Every step of the way takes a bit longer than I expected, when you work alone. I'm still working with the covers before they go to print.
I have put a couple of pictures on the Gallery page. It's only two pictures so far, but that's a start. You can click on the images if you want to view then in a larger format.

Both of the albums have been mastered now. Sounds really good, especially the over decade old "Frog Vomits" sounds even better than I expected. It really kicks ass now. Peter knows his stuff... The overall sound improvement wasn't as dramatic on the new album but still noticeable. As soon as all the details with the CD folder and all the packaging originals have been controlled and all the necessary paperwork has been done the records will be sent to a pressing plant. Both albums will include a 12-page booklet with all the lyrics reprinted.
If you think you could sell some copies of the compact discs to your friends or to anyone you want, you are welcome to contact me. If you buy a bunch of records, you can get a nice discount. You can naturally even give the records away if you want. Give a free CD to everyone in your home town, that would be something, wouldn't it?
Anyway, you get the picture. The more discs you buy, the lower the price. Contact me so we can discuss the prices. The records should be out in the beginning of June 2006 as I told earlier on this page and my record company officially in business.

The CD versions of Spoiled By Success and Frog Vomits has been sent for mastering now. I thought the records would have been out now already but everything seems to take longer time than I expected.
Peter In de Betou, a professional mastering engineer, previously executive chief and engineer at Mastering Room, Stockholm, takes care of the mastering. He has an own mastering studio now called Tailor Maid.
Peter was the guy who mastered the compilation album Bull's Eye (The Soul Preachers, Dirt U, Dorian Gray, Candy Kicks Ass) at Cutting Room in 1993. He made a good job back then so I think the masters are in good hands. After mastering, within a few days, the material shall be sent to a cd plant for printing and I should have at least one of the records out in the beginning of June 2006. The new album, Spoiled By Success, has a priority.
If you can't wait for the CD version, the MP3 versions are already out on the Hälleforsnäs Records Music Store, where you can hear free sound samples of every song and/or download whole albums for less than half of the CD price.
